A simple grilled cheese sandwich with apples and 'baby oranges'. She ate it all, except 1 slice of apple.
The lovely Summer weather has meant more time outside and less time in the kitchen for me so I haven't been trying out as many new recipes lately, hence the lack of non-bento posts! That and also the many diets I have been on/off/on/off, I've been trying to bake less. I do miss it!
There are lots of great bentos here. Go check 'em out!

I'm doing the whole dieting thing now too and what usually ends up happening is extra cooking. Something for the family and something different for me. ugh!
love the mouse of cheese! :)
Ah, but bentos can be a great way to diet! Make one for yourself too! Mom can have a bit more, and the bentos don't need to be so cute, although I love making cute bentos for myself. You will be surprised how full you can get by eating a well packed bento lunch. Love the mousie, so cute!
The Mouse Cheese! You are so creative!
I agree with Sonoma! Bentos are a great way to exercise portion control. The mouse is too adorable!
Love the mouse, thats why I can't bake to much too (the weight!)
thank you for the suggestions ladies. I never actually considered making a bento for myself!
Very cute little bento! I love that little mouse cutter. :)
Quite jealous of your nice weather! Ours has been just awful. So humid and muggy and ugh. You know it's gotta be bad when the kids don't even want to to outside. ;-)
You fix Willow the coolest lunches! I'm visiting from Follow Me Back Tuesday. I signed up to be a new follower.
This is super cute. I had to ask my boyfriend what a bento was. LOL
Cute bento!
You're lucky it's not too hot to go outside--I grew up in CT and miss it.
Your lunches are so creative!
